Benben is known for its publication of the Journal for the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities (JSSEA) as well as numerous publications related to Egyptology, Nubian & Biblical Studies. With chapters in three Canadian cities (Toronto, Montreal and Calgary) and an American subsidiary, the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities is a Toronto-based non-profit organization founded to stimulate interest in Egyptology, to assist those interested, professional and non-professional alike, with research and training in the field, and to sponsor and promote archaeological expeditions to Egypt.
